Growing up just outside of Nashville, Tennessee David attended Tennessee Technological University yet yearned to broaden his horizons quicker than college would allow. He joined the United States Navy serving 8 years as a Naval Photographer. He spent two tours of duty in the Persian Gulf region during Desert Storm along with considerable time as mobile instructor at Joint Intelligence Training Center Pacific teaching Intelligence photography throughout the western Pacific arena.
David’s experience in the U.S. Navy provided him the structure, discipline, and confidence to build a platform from which to launch a remarkable career. Having spent his U.S. Naval service in the San Diego area, David fell in love with Southern California and golf. Upon being Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Navy in David decided to turn his passion for golf into a career.
In 2002, as Nike, Inc ventured into the golf category, David was recruited for an outside sales position in Los Angeles. During his 15-year career with Nike, Inc David progressed professional, through five different positions, five different cities, while managing various types of business models. While at Nike, he managed over 1000 retail locations producing over 100 Million in revenue. As the retail landscape evolved to focus on direct to consumer and ecommerce, David retired from Nike in pursuit of a new challenge in October of 2017.
David knew it was the perfect time for a career pivot. It was time for a new challenge in a sustainable new space. He began talking to the team at Franco Signor almost immediately about a career in Risk Management. Since joining the team at Franco Signor in late January, David has not only ramped up-to-speed quicker than anticipated he has also made an immediate impact on the organization providing a wealth of knowledge as a consummate sales professional. We’re extremely excited to have him on board and look forward to his future successes.
